Biography
Mrs. Michelle Tenkorang known by her stage name as Mimie Tenkorang is a Ghanaian Gospel Musician. She is a wife, mother, worshiper, singer and songwriter who fellowships with Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry (CEM). She loves music, singing, reading and some peace and quiet every now and then.
Though a Human Resources and Administrative Professional, Michelle has over the years learned to maintain a balance with family, work and Ministry as a Gospel Musician. With a passion for people and music, she grew up in a musical home where her parents’ love for music encouraged her to nurture her God-given gift of singing.
She was born into the Assemblies of God Church and at a tender age of 6 years did solos at church and joined the church choir at the age of 12 years. She has always found opportunities to join music groups wherever possible. This included Gospel Explosion of IHCF and E’mpraise.
Michelle has had the privilege of singing as a backing vocalist for a number of Gospel Artistes on various platforms. Between the period of 2009 – 2016 she served as a backing vocalist for Joe Mettle and has been greatly impacted by his drive, consistency and zeal for the things of God.
In March 2021, Michelle released her maiden single ‘All to You’. In October 2021 she released the ‘Renewed’ EP and in 2o23 has released 4 singles; ‘Obiara Ntesε Wo ’ , I AM, You First and No Other God.
She launched ‘Orphaned But Hopeful’ which is the outreach division of her Ministry, in December 2022. The main aim is to bring relief to orphans and orphanages by supporting some basic needs like food, clothing, education, health and skills training.
Michelle believes in the calling of God upon her life and is determined to walk in this calling and purpose to touch and transform the lives God brings her way. She strives to leave an indelible mark in this lifetime of God’s love, power and ability to deliver all who will allow Him.
